New England...WOW

Well it's fair to say this week has been better than last! (There was a pretty low bar after the solo-parenting-nightmare-sleep-regression drama)

Thank goodness we moved past that JUST in time for our mini New England road trip! Maine is the top of my mum's bucket list and I thought it might make sense to take a week away from the Florida humidity whilst my parents were visiting so I planned a trip! Surprisingly difficult to get to Maine so we expanded our journey to start in Boston and drive up through Portland to Bar Harbor and back again across 6/7 days. It. Was. Beautiful!!!!

Sadly the stress of the week before had (as it often does) messed with my stomach and I was not able to get into the seafood until day 3/4 but my oh my everything that I could manage was DELICIOUS and by the end of the trip I was eating lobster for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

In summary, if you haven't been to New England (or at least Maine) - GO!
