Birthday's are a Bad Idea

I've never been one to celebrate my birthday, I actually hate being the centre of attention and would far rather give gifts than receive...perhaps that's why I've invented the Bubs charity model based upon giving back from multiple angles, but I decided for my first birthday living in the US I would allow my loved ones to spoil me.
That took a turn when Josh bought me a rice cooker...full story here ICYMI, and don't worry...I knew this man was terrible at gifting LONG before I decided to marry him so we always have a good laugh about it.
We decided to invite our friends over and throw a games night in the backyard - very alien to us that you can be comfortable outdoors in the evening in just a dress/shorts! We dowsed everyone in bug repellent and had some wicker torches burning bug repellent fuel dotted around and played some card games, some American college drinking games complete with red solo cups and even made a fun assault course. Our friends turned up wearing 'British' wigs - I thought they looked more like an American President but my goodness did we laugh. They really stayed committed to the cause too, those wigs stayed on the ENTIRE night even though they were dripping with sweat!
Sadly, Josh and I lost pretty much every game. We don't drink very much so it hit us HARD and we were very grateful that our little house has two bathrooms the next day!!
I was far too drunk to get any pictures or videos, here's a little vlog from earlier in the day, and below is the only photo I got all night! So much fun!
Hope everyone had a good week, catch up soon.
